"We like to think of Avi Galanti and the Galanti Group as our “little family secret” since my extended family has collaborated and worked with Avi and his team on a handful of buy and sell side transactions in the last year and a half. The trouble is, Avi and his team are SO good that it is impossible to keep the secret that the Galanti Group is unquestionably the best real estate agency in the DC area. Personally, my husband and I worked with Avi in the Fall/Winter 2021/2022 to purchase our family home in Bethesda, after receiving rave recommendations from my parents, brother, and sister-in-law who had worked with Avi previously. My husband and I, our two small children and two cats, were moving from the NYC area to Bethesda and were completely unfamiliar with the area. We had virtually no idea where to start: we were open to different communities, styles of home, school districts, and types of neighborhood vibes (a realtor’s dream client – ha!). Avi was a fantastic partner from start to finish. He carefully listened while we rattled off, debated, and then narrowed down our list of must-have criteria (which started quite lengthy!) and thoughtfully guided us toward certain neighborhoods that were a fit based on our preferences. We met with Avi on three occasions, taking day trips to the Bethesda area to see as much as we could in a six-hour window, and Avi was able to secure the best showings, getting us in the door to places where I am certain other agents would have struggled securing slots. He showed us a range of home styles, which was very helpful to compare and contrast, and gently guided us toward what may work best given our family’s needs. Throughout the process, there was zero pressure to rush to an offer, there was zero pressure to extend our budget beyond our thresholds – poor behaviors that are, unfortunately, all too common in many agents in this competitive marketplace. When found the house of our dreams, Avi was phenomenal during the offer process. We knew it was an incredibly competitive market, but we also knew that we were not willing to pay multiples of what we believed the home was worth to get a deal done. Avi is so incredibly knowledgeable about the market, so familiar with the process and how to put together a competitive offer, that our offer was accepted above five other offers with only one negotiated point with the sellers which we were expecting thanks to Avi’s smart guidance. During the closing process, Avi’s team stepped in and was incredibly helpful and professional. We were overseas during the closing process and on closing day his team went above and beyond to make it extremely easy and comfortable to complete the process virtually. I’ve heard other friends complain about the process of buying or selling a home, especially in this market we are in today, mentioning how stressful, onerous, and exhausting the experience was. They did not work with the Galanti Group. Our experience was enjoyable, rewarding, educational, and fun! We hope to stay in our home for several years, but we will work with Avi and the Galanti Group again and again whenever we have a real estate transaction and would recommend, without hesitation or reservation, the Galanti Group to any friend or family member looking to sell or buy in the DC area. "Avi and his team at The Galanti group check every box on our list of expectations for a realtor. My husband and I have lived in the Bethesda zip code for 40+ years. We have bought and sold two houses there and two in another state. Our family also includes now-retired realtors. When we decided to sell our home of 30 years, we researched experienced area realtors. We subsequently interviewed four and selected Avi and the team because Avi showed up prepared, presented thorough market information and familiarity with the neighborhood where we lived, and projected confidence and realism in what he thought the best way to prepare and sell the house would be. He was well put together, professional, and no-nonsense. Being experienced presenters, we thought the material he brought with him for us to study was of the highest caliber. He was also well-connected to help the two people in their 60s to efficiently achieve the goals for preparing the property. Strategically Avi made several important recommendations about how to make modest improvements that did not break the bank; improved lighting, monochromatic painting, removal of private furniture, and staging. He put us in touch with his network of professionals including a handyman who came and finished a list of indoor painting, small carpentry jobs, removal of unwanted furniture, and exterior pressure washing such that all the recommendations were made in two weeks and the house staged and sold inside of a week. Naturally, we became Zillow surfers and studied the market simultaneously with the preparation phase. Avi waited until a few days before marketing to fix a suggested price and had interesting proposals and choices for us to make on this topic. We feel Avi competitively priced the property. In describing it, hit all the right areas with his summary of the property. When it came time to show, a professional cleaning and photography team worked with the stager and the result was a gorgeous portfolio. Zillow and Redfin called it a "Hot Home". While we loved our furniture and style, we have commented many times over that his ideas coupled with the stager looked way better than we could have imagined. When the home opened for show, we were flooded with potential buyers. Avi spent long hours showing them the property and fielding questions and received multiple offers. The money that was spent in preparing the home to show was more than well spent in return on investment. Finally, throughout the contractual period, Avi and his team fielded questions; even coming back to the property to ensure any questions were answered appropriately. From the initial listing agreement to the sale, everything was completed within 3 months; all seamlessly. If you are selling a property I do not think you could find a more confident connected realtor and if you are shopping for a new property, his knowledge of the area, understanding of market values, and loyalty to his clients cannot be surpassed."
